David Hurtado was born in Spain and graduated with a degree in Animation from the Norwich University of the Arts (United Kingdom).
He worked as a graphic designer for 15 years before starting his career as a freelance illustrator and animator.

David has produced artwork for clients that include Macmillan Publishers, Oxford University Press, Bloomsbury (A&C Black), RSPB, the Charles Dickens Museum, Ipswich Museum, English Heritage and the University of East Anglia among many others.
In the animation field, he has collaborated on several short films and worked on advertisements for television and the web (my Youtube Channel).
In 2016 David wrote and illustrated 'Flipping Out!', a book to learn the basics of hand-drawn animation and how to create animated flip books. 'Flipping Out!' was published by Walter Foster Publishing and it is available worldwide: (link to Amazon.com) (link to Amazon.co.uk)

In his free time, David coaches a junior football team and he likes watching films, reading comics and spending time at the beach.
